"Gargantua" -: Catastrophe!!

How do to you all.

And a jolly happy new year too!

I've been too busy to do any proper posts on this very blog recently but yet again you can find me at the link below, writing about the new project I am working on.

Ergo Phizmiz: "Gargantua" -: Catastrophe!!: The wolf template was finally dry enough to start making the mask from it, so I lathered it up with vaseline to create a barrier...

Better dash, got kids to dress and get into the sunshine!

Have a great day folks.

Dizzy, my head is spinning....

Well, well, well... what a busy couple of weeks.

Every morsel of time before the 5th was taken up with filming, animating and editing for Fulcanelli's Shoes. Which went marvellously well at Soundart Radio.

You can see it in it's entirety below...

And, I have been intending for quite a while now, after being inspired by fellow blogger Rosalilium (where you can view my special guest post on Aspirations) to take a bit of time, to think about and appreciate our most favourite of things. You can view hers here. It got me thinking about Amélie and her creme brulee...

and strangely enough, Morecambe and Wise's song, Positive Thinking...

I guess because I think at this time of year, with dreary gloomy weather, thinking of your favourite things, that make you feel all lovely and comforted and a bit of "positive thinking" can hopefully do wonders!

So here's a good couple of mine...

May be best to click on these to actually be able to read them!!

I was v.tired when writing these...so...made a few spelling errors...

Thinking... I may seem a tad... weird.

And one little other thing, is handwriting. I love to see people's handwriting. So, I thought these silly little notes should of course be handwritten. So there you have it.

And if you've managed to get this far down my blog... well done to you (been too long between blogs!)

You'll be very happy to know that my folksy shop Little Bitty Pretty One is FINALLY open!! I'm still in the process of stocking it up, but it's actually happening. I'm looking into buying a kiln, so I can keep things going, but also reviving a few old things I used to make quite often, that have got laid behind.

Porcelain Jewellery/Trinket Tray or Soap Dish

Crackle glaze porcelain

As well as all these crazy amounts of making, between film-making and craft making and child making, etc. I regularly run film and animation workshops and have one coming up at Bridport Art's Centre in half term.

We also have an event coming up at the Art Centre...

...if any of you lovelies out there would like to be involved, do get in touch marthamoopette (@) gmail dot com

Time to watch more Tom & Jerry with my poorly three, very nearly four year old.

Bonjour

Well, this is it. I've been saying for quite a while that I wanted to start a blog and so.... it's finally here.

What exactly it's going to be about...well...pretty much everything. My film and craft works, interactions and lots of things I find appealing.

I can't get enough of satsumas and clementines at this time of year. There's always hope for one or two in your stocking, perhaps oozing bits of sweet juice on the Christmas nuts, (that you have no idea how to open, as you always lose the nutcracker after the 12 days of last year's Christmas).

With it being Christmas Eve's Eve tomorrow it's definitely time to make a ginger bread house with the kids and salt dough decorations for the tree. We've been merrily decorating the house with paper chains and paper snowflakes. The snowflakes are my favourite.

Paper Chains

They actually took a while to figure out, as we didn't realise the folding would be so tricky, but after that we couldn't stop making them.

Autumn's Nativity Angel Wings

And yes...this is really one I made, not my 3 or 6 year old. However, this is the one and only I have made this year as I've been very lazy and roped my kids into making millions for friends and family, like little worn out elves.

Lastly, I was walking home quite late one night, a couple of hours after the late night Christmas market. All the stalls of mulled wine and festivities had gone, all except for this one giant snowball. It hadn't even been snowing that day and there was no other snow around nearby, from where it could've come from. I suspect it fell from the sky and zapped all the stalls into it's snowy labyrinth.
