If...

...you put a whole bunch of hedonists in a room on a Thursday evening, you will come up with an event of such delights like this...

It was a very decadent evening indeed, with my good fellow gentleman Ergo Phizmiz playing the long lost Fulcanelli's Shoes (he wrote and I worked on parts of the film and animation for 18 months ago), Vulnavia Vanity as Marlene Dietrich with Elvis Herod on Skype as Noel Coward, Greater Than Or Equal To doing their shtuff and Oblivian Substanshall dancing around in his pants...

All in a lovely lady's front room with scatterings of creative people and happenings inbetween, with the evening appropriately named, IF.

~ News From Moopette's Shoes ~

This year I'm not only going to appear in one of the Gang of Rogues Operas at Riverside Studios... I happen to be falling (*blindly stumbling) into being one of the main parts. One of the main *singing* parts. I'm starting to get a tad... hmmm...how should I put it... basically I'm shitting myself.

We've moved house!! I have briefly mentioned this here, but I shall do a proper post all about the move and the lovely, big, warm, super-duper house and immense garden soon.

I finally have a new header and look to the blog too... what do you think? There's still a few more changes to come too.

Wishful Thinking

I wasn't sure how to open up the first post after my nine days away, despite this special little treat, Friday's Foul Food Fotos.

But I've well and truly landed back in cyber space. So hello there from Moopette Maison all! Nice to be back.

Nine days without any internet or laptop to entertain me, I thought... Ace! Brilliant! Nine whole days while the Mr's away, kids at School during the day, I can get LOADS done. I can make this and that, organise this, be really creative, coffee with the ladies, bit of pampering, etc. etc. BUT sods law landed on my doorstep with a massive THUD(!!) in the form of a horrid flu that wiped out my little monkeys and knocked me down half way through the week too. So... no energy and two little poorly lassies to look after on me tod... Get ANYTHING done??! Hell no.

All I could muster up was the energy to do these... Titled "Wishful Thinking"...

And these...

Looking a bit shoddy as they need to be scanned rather than photographed, but ours is in scanner heaven.

So there you have it. In the whole nine days away... that was pretty much it. I envisaged my pretty blue craft desk spilling over the top with crafty makes and projects... but it wasn't to be.

However... remember this?? It's very exciting...

Yep! Fulcanelli's Shoes has finally been released in it's entirety. So please please check it ooot here which features the full length video (54.53) as well. Plus there's another very special page which is purely the music from Fulcanelli's Shoes... right about.... here.

So that's all marvellous and jolly.

Three little nitty-bits of Moop news.

Well... Fanny Hatstand and myself were setting up a film festival with a food theme, to run alongside Bridport Food Festival. Unfortunately it's now postponed until next year's Food Festival, so we have much longer to focus on it and set it up. So MINDTHEGAP!!!

It's been long awaited by many... but one of these days I'm going to get round to finishing off the video of the event we curated, HowToSayTo, from a couple of weeks ago at Bridport Arts Centre.

And... last but very much not the least...

I love my new mug from Pam's for 30p!

I've been mentioning now and again a little idea I have... that I think and hope will really pick up and be... (ok ... no modesty here) .... flippin' floppin' ludicrously massive!

I think it's a very good idea... which has something to do with tea... however, you will have to wait and see! All I will say is that I LOVE TEA! So MINDTHIS(verybig)GAP!!!

Dizzy, my head is spinning....

Well, well, well... what a busy couple of weeks.

Every morsel of time before the 5th was taken up with filming, animating and editing for Fulcanelli's Shoes. Which went marvellously well at Soundart Radio.

You can see it in it's entirety below...

And, I have been intending for quite a while now, after being inspired by fellow blogger Rosalilium (where you can view my special guest post on Aspirations) to take a bit of time, to think about and appreciate our most favourite of things. You can view hers here. It got me thinking about Amélie and her creme brulee...

and strangely enough, Morecambe and Wise's song, Positive Thinking...

I guess because I think at this time of year, with dreary gloomy weather, thinking of your favourite things, that make you feel all lovely and comforted and a bit of "positive thinking" can hopefully do wonders!

So here's a good couple of mine...

May be best to click on these to actually be able to read them!!

I was v.tired when writing these...so...made a few spelling errors...

Thinking... I may seem a tad... weird.

And one little other thing, is handwriting. I love to see people's handwriting. So, I thought these silly little notes should of course be handwritten. So there you have it.

And if you've managed to get this far down my blog... well done to you (been too long between blogs!)

You'll be very happy to know that my folksy shop Little Bitty Pretty One is FINALLY open!! I'm still in the process of stocking it up, but it's actually happening. I'm looking into buying a kiln, so I can keep things going, but also reviving a few old things I used to make quite often, that have got laid behind.

Crackle glaze porcelain

As well as all these crazy amounts of making, between film-making and craft making and child making, etc. I regularly run film and animation workshops and have one coming up at Bridport Art's Centre in half term.

We also have an event coming up at the Art Centre...

...if any of you lovelies out there would like to be involved, do get in touch marthamoopette (@) gmail dot com

Time to watch more Tom & Jerry with my poorly three, very nearly four year old.

Plants in Bedpans, Mice in Bedrooms & Red Admirals

This week has been a very nice productive one. Which I am very pleased about. It's nice to blog it too, as I can keep up to date with what I'm doing and feel that I am actually using my time very wisely. Proud to announce this week I have mainly been doing these things...

A snippet of the project, 'Fulcanelli's Shoes' I am in the process of making with Ergo Phizmiz I'm very happy with how this film has turned out and pretty chuffed it has been reblogged a good many times.

And here's a very lovely photo taken by yours truly of the beautiful Vulnavia Vanity as Barbette.

Oh how beautiful you are Vulnavia/Barbette

 And this...

A little shop I have been planning to open for a good few months to sell a range of my wares, that I'm finally getting my head around to do, in amongst all the other crazy things my life throws at me. I'd hoped it would be done this week but work for Fulcanelli's Shoes is taking the front line as it is previewing in Dartington at Soundart Radio on February 5th and there's still plenty of the film left to do. And presently this afternoon, I will myself, be dressing up as Baron Munchausen for further work on the project.

It shall be done in the very near future though, with a range of porcelain dishes, wooden and pewter chopsticks & chopstick rests that I have previously made. I will be introducing sewn goods too at some point, as well as sketches and decorated gift boxes.

Last week the mister walked into our daughter's bedroom and was shocked to find the cat staring at a mouse, quite admiringly and apparently pretty much stroking it. Happy to announce we haven't seen it since, so wherever it had come in from, it has vanished back to, as there's been no sign of it. Quite pleasantly though we found this little lovely in the kid's room too, which the kids took to looking after.

Red Admiral & Ginger Audrey.

Very sorry to say but little miss butterfly has gone off to the land of dead butterflies which broke my three year old's heart, telling us in a cracking voice, tears and all, that it had died.

On a happy note though, they have been making spectacular drawings on their mega-sketchers.

Autumn's famous cat drawings

Talulah's amazing 'Ostriches or Sausages' drawing.

I was in need of repotting my plant in the bathroom to give it more room to grow and needed another pot to contain the water. On the fabulous market that takes place in our little town every week I found, what I think to be a bedpan. Appropriately placed in the bathroom of course too. Perfect colour and size. I think everyone is in need of bedpans for plant pots.

Lovely bedpan, ain't it.

Getting a bit addicted to listing things on eBay at the moment, that I'm sure I'll be selling all the furniture once we've all got no clothes left... missymoopy

Well I had better continue now with my lazy Sunday... but not sure it will live up to it's name.
